What our Clients Say......

Here is some lovely feedback from clients who have used Stringsaloud String Quartet for their weddings in and around the Glasgow area:

Dear Mairi,
Now that 'normality' is returning I am writing to thank you for all the arrangements you made and to thank the quartet for their wonderful performance. They were great and much admired by the guests and appreciated by all. My rather elderly aunt in fact thanked us not for the wedding but for inviting her to the concert!!The day overall was great and passed in a flash. ...thanks again.

Hi Mairi,

Thank you so much for your input in our wedding. The strings were so gorgeous and everyone is talking about the songs you played. I heard some of Songbird as I walked down the aisle but I was so nervous I didnt take it in. Bittersweet Symphony was out of this world! It was so beautiful and was a perfect song for Ally and I.

We hope to see you in the future, you are our first choice for family events now!

Thanks

Hello Mairi, We are just back from honeymoon (which was perfect) and I wanted to drop you a line to say thanks to you and your group for the wonderful music they played on the 17th of May. I could not have been happier. I have added a comment to your blog (see below) hope thats alright.Lynn 'I would like to say a huge thank you to Stringsaloud for the beautiful music they provided on my wedding day. Hearing the music I had chosen drifting across the room as we signed the register or walking out as man and wife with moonriver playing are very special memories for me. I have also received a number of compliments from guests on the wonderful music played by the girls. Stringsaloud added a further romantic touch to what was already a wonderful day.Thank you again

Hi Mairi,
I know it is a while after the wedding but it has been a busy couple of months since the honeymoon. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for all help and to say the quartet were fantasticon the day. Even had a number of people crying when they played Cavelliera Rusticana upon Laura's entrance. I have attached photos of your musicians on the day.Whenever I can recommend Stringsaloud I will.
Thank you again

String Quartets Playing Outside

A sad story...

It has been brought to my attention that unfortunately some people think that musicians and their instruments are robotic and can function wherever they are required....afraid not...

All our musicians use antique instruments some costing tens of thousands of pounds, being made of wood, varnished and glued together some more than 250 years ago simply cannot be played outside in sunlight...yes even SCOTTISH sunlight... as the varnish and the quality of sound produced could be irretrievably damaged...

Also there is the lovely Scottish rain to be considered....would you leave your i-pod out in the rain....no...so there is no way we would play our cherished instruments out in a downpour or even a light shower either.

A musician's livelihood depends on their instrument....if you want quality music you need quality instruments...we cannot destroy our instruments playing outside so please take note of this when thinking about where your guests will be on the day....common sense methinks...
